Five boys from Carlsbad United F.C. will be travelling out to Rome at the beginning of May to play in the VW Junior Masters World Tournament representing the USA.

The five boys are part of a collaborative team that was put together by Coach Jay Amin (CUFC) & Coach Jim Flowers (SDSC). The boys qualified for the VW Masters World Championship in Rome, after making it through both a regional and a national Championship, where at the time they beat the number 1, number 2 and number 3 teams in the nation!

Coach Jay commented, “I am very proud of the boys and their accomplishment and am looking forward to seeing them play against all the top youth academy teams from around the world as they represent their nation. Good luck Chase Tanner, Noah Suemnick, Jake Tovar, Cameron Williams, & Angel Flores.”

The CUFC boys currently play on Coach Mike Duggan’s BU13 Elite team and a very proud Duggan commented, “Everyone at the club is extremely proud of the boys. To get the opportunity to travel to Rome on an all expense paid trip due to your talent on the field is a fantastic achievement. Add it into the mix playing soccer against some of the best European Academies and it really is the chance of a life time. I am confident this group of players and Coach Jay will do a fantastic job and represent both Carlsbad United and the US with pride!”
