Carlsbad United’s 2014 November Nights Elite College Showcase is now in the books.  Nine months in the making, 230 applications, 100 acceptances (from 13 US State Associations & Canada), 1,850 players, 150 games, 10,500 game minutes, 385 college coaches and 250+ volunteers.  There are few words to describe the herculean efforts of the Showcase Committee and our dedicated volunteers in making this the best showcase in our short five year history.

While we can celebrate what we have accomplished and we should be proud of the results, we have much to learn from every interaction with the teams, players and college coaches and we continue to be dedicated to the mission of The November Nights Elite College Showcase.  Our goal is to continue to attract the most diverse competition possible and to provide a positive and diverse recruiting experience for the college coaches. As the showcase continues to grow in size and stature every year, our goal for next year and beyond is to implement simple and useful technology for teams, players and coaches to make the recruiting process simpler and more accessible to all.

Tournament Director, Dann Vidana commented, “In my five years being involved in the showcase, the spirit of why we started is still alive today and I take great comfort knowing that we have provided thousands of players that one opportunity to start or continue the journey for higher education while playing a sport they love.”

Carlsbad United’s Director of Operations, Michael Duggan, also commented, “November Nights just keeps exceeding everyone’s expectations. Every year this showcase has grown in size and quality, not only on the field with the teams we are attracting but also on the sidelines with the mass of College Coaches that are coming out. This year we had just under 400 College Coaches register which is absolutely crazy numbers. Also, the vibe at the showcase is fantastic and this is mainly due to the countless hours our team of volunteers put in so a massive THANK YOU to them. We look are looking forward to next years showcase already! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!”
